The Operational Problem
After a beam dump, recovery requires multiple system checks and state changes. Under time pressure, missed equipment-protection resets, RF state transitions, or configuration steps can delay restoration or leave the machine in an inappropriate state.
The Tool
I developed an application that coordinated key recovery actions and presented their state to operators. The tool helped verify prerequisite conditions, sequence required resets and configuration changes, and make incomplete steps visible.
Engineering Boundary
The application supported operators and equipment recovery; it did not replace independent protection systems or their authority. Automation improved repeatability while protection logic remained decoupled.
